Some Searchers for the Weekend

This week it’s British band The Searchers who were part of the Merseybeat era in the 1960s. They had 12 top forty hits including 6 top tens and 3 numbers ones which were their debut “Sweets For My Sweet” , “Don’t Throw Your Love Away” and the song below.

“Needles and Pins” was their second number 1 and was at the top for three weeks in Jan/Feb 1964.
