Some Bowie for the weekend

This week’s tracks are in tribute to David Bowie who died on January 10th aged just 69.  His last album called “Blackstar” released just two days before his death had lyrics which at the time intrigued listeners and reviewers as to their meaning, but now in hindsight it’s previous obvious he was saying goodbye. The last track on the album is called “I Can’t Give Everything Away” and a track called “Lazarus” which contains the lines.

“Look up here, I’m in heaven/ I’ve got scars that can’t be seen/ I’ve got drama, can’t be stolen/ Everybody knows me now”.

Very true David .Coming up, four tracks from the Starman, but first, something special from a young organist, Nicholas, at St Albans Cathedral who plays tribute to Bowie with a rendition of  the icon’s hit Life on Mars.
